I thought it was two double beds, pushed together.
1950s TV was weird.
It could not be implied that Men and Women slept in the same bed...
...and Lucy was never "Pregnant", she was "Expecting"...

In Season One and part of Season Two, they slept in twin beds that were pushed together. Around the time Lucy announced she was expecting a baby on the show, they started sleeping in twin beds that were separate with a lamp between them. Censorship for Tv in the 1950s was strict. Lucy couldn't even say the word pregnant on Tv. I guess they thought it was not appropriate for them to sleep with the twin beds pushed together when she got pregnant for some reason even though they were a married couple.
