That’s the angle they should take with Black Panther 2. Also Ahmed Best should have a role.

Ahmed gave his best with Jar Jar, he developed the whole Gungan lingo. Gunganese has become a science of it's own. @captaintarpals is an expert in the field can attest to that.
If they do not make Best a lead in Panther 2 we riot.

I can only assume that you have recently become an LSD and crack addict; since this is the most untrue, the most defamatory, and the most absurd thing you've ever said. It makes statements from DC-Fan seem impartial.

It makes statements from DC-Fan seem impartial. No, you're wrong, this is a prime example of a dissenting view. It has been framed articulately and intelligently by its author. The board's constitution protects this thread. We need more of this type of material. Allow me to explain. If we take into account the frequent comparison of Jar Jar Binks to Carribean stereotypes and archetypes portrayed in minstrelsy, it's clear to see that there is no untoward or offensive implication in the OP. By associating T'Challa, a Black man, with a character who is frequently associated with blackface, all that is being said here is that T'Challa is a "happy-go-lucky darky on the plantation" and a "dandified coon." This may be an unpopular opinion but, we the residents of this board, fully support Power Ranger's right to express it. I hope this clears things up for you, my hyper-sensitive friend.

The Naboo and the Wakandans form a symbiotic circle. What happens to one will affect the other. You must understand this.

I've got no problem with him expressing this opinion. But why is it a problem if I criticize it? Let me be clearer about why I said what I said. @powerranger said that T'Challa sounds and acts like Jar Jar Binks. Even though he has since drawn some correlations between the 2 characters, I still find it inaccurate on many levels The Gungan accent may have a similar cadence to Caribbean, but it's definitely not the same thing. (I've been around people from the Caribbean). The accent used by T'Challa is a typical African accent. There's nothing about it that's racially mocking. How would you have an African prince sound? (I have been around African immigrants who speak English. That's exactly how they sound). So I find the comparison to be forced, apples to oranges. Maybe apples to broccoli. Edit: also T'Challa is not a clumsy buffoon. Jar Jar Binks is.

One is a bumbling comic relief designed for children and the other is a proud warrior who helped his nation defeat the trade federation.

One is a bumbling comic relief designed for children and the other is a proud warrior who helped his nation defeat the trade federation. The trade federation is in the prequels not Black Panther. And there's a big difference between a bumbling buffoon and a skilled warrior/royalty figure/government authority.

And there's a big difference between a bumbling buffoon and a skilled warrior/royalty figure/government authority. Exactly. Black Panther is a buffoon, and you're correct that Jar Jar does serve in all three of those capacities in the prequels. Nice post!
