Aren't all religions an attempt at explaining the world before we knew how it worked?
People looked up and saw white, fluffy clouds. People looked down and saw red, fiery magma. These became Heaven and Hell.
Why do people still believe in religion? Aren't they all false?

No. They are not all false and science has not explained everything and never will. What hasn't science explained?
Where does consciousness come from? Why is there something rather than nothing? Does the universe have a centre? Religion doesn't exist to explain magma, it has other purposes. (Aside from the fact that volcanoes don't exist everywhere, so the OP tries to explain too much.

No. For many people religion is a philosophy and a tool for how to live life.

How something can come from nothing and create everything?

Religion is a culture centred upon the worship of God or gods.

Science can only explain what it knows.
It doesn't even assume stuff until that stuff is verified.
However, it's silly to compare the two when the two easily co-exist.
Plenty of religious people love science at least as much as the people who aren't religious although that will never be the narrative.
Atheists are gonna atheist...
In answer to the qiestion, all it takes is for one of them to be true which would render the rest of them to be inaccurate even if sincere.

Not Judaism. That would be antisemitic, which every god fearing atheist can tell you is the one true evil.

The question of whether the universe has a centre is answered by contemporary cosmological theory. The answer given by that theory is "no". We don't yet have a good scientific account of consciousness in my view, but plenty of scientists are working on it and they seem to be making progress. They are certainly much more progress on that question than any religion is. I agree that "why is there something rather than nothing?" is probably not something that the sciences can answer, at least given the standard definition of the term "nothing". (Some scientists, notably Lawrence Krauss, think that science can answer this question, but it seems to me that they adopt a somewhat unusual definition of "nothing".) But why should we believe what any religion has to say about this question?

This is true. Thing is, religion doesn't explain those things either. Religion explains the things science can't and doesn't exist to explain. Religion attempts to explain things science can't and doesn't exist to explain would be more accurate, in the same way people used Zeus to explain lightning bolts.
