He should have been in the last one.

They really screwed this up. Carrie was in bad shape prior to the sequel trilogy. The best decision would have been to kill Leia in Episode 8, not Mark Hamill.
We need Lando. Ghost Luke isn’t enough of a legacy character to include to link to the originals.

He should have been in the last one. Once I was eager for Lando to be in TFA and TLJ. Now I'm grateful he's not. What a shitty, uninspired trilogy this turned out to be. Little respect for what came before.

No it doesn't.
What it needed was probably a Leia in a Prof. X-style hoverchair so as to avoid straining Carrie's body so much and a Mark Hamill as leader of the new and thriving Jedi Order.

You know Carrie Fisher died, right? Yes. I know. I was (perhaps naively) thinking that if more care had been applied to Carrie Fisher, then perhaps she would not have died when she did, from the dramatic weight loss and the stresses and strains of making the movies. EDIT: What I mean by the hoverchair was to put Leia (and Carrie) in an actual wheelchair disguised as something that fits Star Wars and make the excuse that Leia was getting old (because Carrie was also old and in poor health) so that Carrie wouldn't have had to exert herself so damn much.

Oh, my bad. Thanks for clarifying. I guess I never thought of that. She looked TERRIBLE in Force Awakens, though. And slightly better in TLJ, but then again she was laid up for half the flick. Shit is sad, mang.

I'm in agreement with the suggestion that it should have been Lando who told them about the code breaker. That scene with Maz was weird, and it would have given Billy Dee a little shine.
