As a kid I found hellraiser scary and as an adult, no movie scares you or makes you feel frightened or scared when you are watching it? PS. here is a quick review i trotted out the day after seeing Hereditary Hereditary (2018, Ari Aster) Cinema This film came out of the Sundance festival with a lot of hype including quotes that called it this generations The Exorcist, Psycho or The Shining. while it is far from being that standard it is an interesting film in many ways. The story takes place as the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The films real artistry is in its visual craft, acting and score which are all excellent and atmospheric. To many it might seem like a slower arthouse Conjuring or Insideous, which in many ways it is but is obviously a much classier film than all of those. Unfortunately the film seems to be trying too hard to be a classic and despite atmosphere it doesn't have a ot going on narrative wise, certainly nothing new. It is a classy feeling film that gets a bit silly near the end, overrated its own importance and in the end is an interesting enough haunted house story with shades of Rosemary's Baby. 6/10

and as an adult, no movie scares you or makes you feel frightened or scared when you are watching it? I got some major goose flesh at the end of Les Diaboliques and 10 years ago I got the jitters while watching What Lies Beneath during a rainstorm , seen it since without the weather and it did not have the same effect. I think they should do screenings of Jaws with a big screen on the beach and all the chairs floating in the ocean, that would be scary. Or watching blair witch (which isnt scary at all) on a laptop in the woods at night by yourself haha wow i have never met a woman that would be so immune (it seems) from scary movies. lucky you. i get scared very easily and usually it stays with me for a few hours after the movie is over. after the conjuring i moved furniture in my house. but yet i love horror movies

I think they might have people swimming underneath and grabbing feet or something.

Ha I heard about those Jaws screenings. They should let some sharks loose in the theater to really enliven the experience.

And for 55 bucks? I am there!

I imagine it would be unnerving to have the water up to your neck while watching it. Psychologically it would probably play up one's fears.
They should have a prop Ben Gardner head shoot up at someone when they least expect it.
The beach corpse scene in Jaws 2 was creepy too.
