Total body of work - Spielberg
But currently would be more excited about seeing a Cameron movie than Spielberg. Sad for me to say that.

I have to go with Cameron.
I used to like Spielberg before he had a family and decided to make films his kids could see. The one movie of his I recently enjoyed was Bridge of Spies.

Spielberg. He has a much longer filmography status.

The Terminator is Cameron's best film. But even someone like me who doesn't particularly care for Spielberg movies these days would still rate Duel and Jaws highly, so he has Cameron beat.
But, there would be no Jurassic Park without Cameron since he was the one who developed the CGI dept at ILM.

Cameron. Both Terminators and Aliens are lightyears better than any of Spielberg's movies. Though i have a special place in my heart for the Indy films.

Spielberg. There are only two Cameron movies that I really like: "Aliens" and "Titanic". Meanwhile, if someone says a Spielberg title, it holds a place in my heart.

I'm more of a Spielberg fan. I liked some of Cameron's movies too.

Although I voted for Spielberg, honesty compels me to admit that I am not at all knowledgeable on Cameron: I must be one of three people living in the lower forty-eight who has seen neither Titanic nor Avatar.

Cameron
There is a reason why he failed to ever create/produce a good TV show. He can't tell a complex story.

That's because when Cameron finally does release a movie it will be something awesome I want to see. Whereas Spielberg is hit or miss nowadays. Just think of what Spielberg would have done with Ready Player One in his prime, instead of the mediocre movie we got last year. For that matter imagine what Cameron would have done with it!
But Spielberg is still the man. I very much enjoyed Munich, Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, and The Post.
