There was an information that Disney wants to remake ALL of their animated movies into live action... Because fuck originality, that's why

They'll never cast a good enough Jasmine.

This is becoming an irritating trend. Doesn't Disney have better movies to make?

This is becoming an irritating trend. Doesn't Disney have better movies to make? No. Hollywood in general has run out of ideas.

I'd be surprised if they weren't making a live-action version.
This will be kind of interesting considering Robin Williams steals the show in the 1992 film.

How can they do this without Robin Williams? I can't imagine anyone else playing Genie. This is disappointing. I loved Cinderella, and I'm hopeful for B&B, but I was really hoping they'd leave this one alone. How about a kick-ass Alice in Wonderland (a recreation of the 51' film, and not like Burton's sequel disguised under the same name)? What about the Aristocats or Lady and the Tramp? Robin Williams doesn't do the voice of the Genie in Return of Jafar which is part of the reason I dislike it.

It only seems like yesterday we lost robin williams, as stated big shoes to fill and I also agree he stole the show and made the movie for me. Such energy, the ad libbing. Too soon for me after loosing robin and I wouldn't fancy being cast as the genie that's a lot to live up to.

I bet I know who they cast for the Genie. I like this idea. If they are going to do this, they need to make sure they don't try and cast a Robin Williams clone, but someone who will make the role their own. I still think they should leave it alone, but this would be the right direction at least.

This is becoming an irritating trend. Doesn't Disney have better movies to make? Probably, but they won't make as much as remaking a classic. BatB = 174M Domestic Opening Weekend. Possibly on it's way to 1Billion smackers WW. That's why they will keep remaking their successful IPs.
