It should get talked about more often or up there with other famous mob movies.
A great movie. Anyone else dig it?

It’s one of those movies that gets a decent amount of mention amongst my friends but I hardly hear it mentioned anywhere else. I throw out a Now Youse Can’t Leave quote every now and again. Anytime someone locks a door around me.

Rob Schneider is a biker in that scene. Just a bit of trivia.

I think it's a great film. I loved seeing DeNiro as a good guy for a change and Joe Pesci having a small subdued role. Jane (Taral Hicks) is pretty cute, too.
And on the subject of attention, A Bronx Tale is in the news because Megham Markle passed Sonny's test. After the wedding, Harry helped her into their car and she reached over and opened his door for him. Apparently that movie scene is still memorable.

I loved that film. It had some memorable lines, such as "I can't do Coffee Cake!" and "They're jerk-offs. And that Slick....he's the biggest jerk-off."

I'm a big fan of A Bronx Tale. Roberta De Niro did a fantastic job in recreating the look and feel of 1960s New York. Has some similarities to a Martin Scorsese mob drama, but not as brutal. Instead De Niro directs it more straightforward with sentimentality and bittersweetness, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Great screenplay by Chazz Palminteri, and an excellent soundtrack.

A very touching coming of age story with great performances by the entire cast.
Shame what lead Lillo Brancato Jr. did years later.

Lilo Brancato who played DeNiro's son did hard time in prison for manslaughter... Actually it wasn't manslaughter. It was for burglary. It got so bad that in the early morning hours of Dec. 10, 2005, Brancato and his friend, Steven Armento, broke into a house in the Bronx to try and steal prescription drugs, alerting a neighbor and an off-duty police officer Daniel Enchautegui to investigate the burglary. Armento shot the officer dead with his .357 Magnum. He was 28 years old. Colombia-born Brancato was convicted of attempted burglary and sentenced to 10 years out of a maximum 15 in jail. (Armento was convicted of murder and sentenced to life without parole in prison.) When Brancato was released Dec. 31, 2013 following eight years in jail...
