When it just comes to Directing, Which 4 " STAR WARS" Movie Directors do you yourself think did the Best Job ? This is a misleading question though. Because directing a Star Wars movie is a little different than just a directing a great movie. When you direct a Star Wars movie you lend yourself as a director to the formula that was started by George Lucas (ANH), and then perfected in the first sequel by Irvin Kirshner (ESB).
So to that end I have to say that George Lucas will always rank first no matter who directs another Star Wars movies. You could bring Stanley Kubrick back to life to direct one and it still wont match either ANH or ESB.
On the other hand Lucas ALSO directed the worst SW movie by far (TPM), so...
1) Lucas 2) Kirshner 3) Abrams 4) Howard IMO

Can we separate out A New Hope Lucas from the Prequel Lucas?
Because they are vastly different.
