He's a kid. He learned he was more than the suit. Look at the Spidey Sense in Infinity War Marvel has deliberately started their heroes down in power so they can grow in future films That scene in the warehouse was straight out of the books-where he is buried & has to free himself It just feels wrong to me to make him such an Iron Man wannabe. I like the idea of the arc: becoming more than the suit. But that isn't Spiderman either. Great Power and Great Responsibility is the heart of the character and it was jettisoned here for a completely different characterization. That annoyed me. Tony Stark is a scientist. Brilliant It seems rather natural Peter would idolize him or Banner over Captain America. Banner rather spectacularly screwed up.

Well, sit yourself down and watch one of the greatest superhero movies ever made! I believe it comes in at #6. Pretty good for a third reboot. ... and be wary of comments by anyone who thinks BvS should be among the greatest superhero movies ever made ... or fans of Muppets in Space (Star Wars). Their judgment is ... suspect. Nope. #6? Are you kidding me? It's not even a top 15 MCU movie! Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. The list of the greatest superhero movies of all time has been endorsed by both MCU and DC fans alike. Obviously, those folks think it transcends any individual’s personal opinion.

I never saw this. Tonight I flipped past it twice ( on HBO ) Both times were extended scenes of SM crashing, falling, getting knocked around like a complete idiot. It actually reminded me of a Wile E. Coyote cartoon. Who would even think this is funny? A five year old? Is the entire movie that stupid? /rant It is a very VERY forgettable movie. I honestly have no clue how people think it beats the Raimi trilogy. The complete lack of Spidey's familiar mythology is jarring. No Harry. No Bugle. No JJJ. No Uncle Ben. No elderly May. No MJ. No Gwen. Instead we get Iron Mang and Peter's fanboy obsession to please Tony Stark. I definitely agree that the lack of Harry, the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson, Uncle Ben, an elderly Aunt May, Gwen Stacey, and MJ is pretty jarring, as you say. I would have preferred the mythology, and I probably would have preferred the movie sans Iron Man. But that fits into my dislike of shared universes in general. Anyhoo, I agree with many of your criticisms, guys, and I definitely don’t think it’s the equal of the first two Raimi flicks—but I enjoyed it and would probably give it a high rating if I gave ratings out of 10. Maybe not an A, but a solid B+. (I wrote some comments on it here.)

can't say, honestly....the only thing memorable about this re-reboot is how utterly forgettable it is. I challenge you: watch it and try to remember anything relevant about this film except that Peter kinda becomes Iron Spider Junior.
Oh sorry, I forgot about the infamous timeline blunder, but who gives a raccoon turd? ... You tube videos Bodegas. Salvage Happy Pepper Death Star Ship cut in half Vulture What else you want?

It is maybe the best Spiderman movie ever made. Seriously. It easily beats both Amazing Spiderman movies and Spiderman 3. Anyone who disagrees is just a hater. Do not take the opinions of people who think Batman vs. Superman is a 10/10 movie. I just watched Spiderman 2 the other day and it has not aged that well. I still liked it, but I feel that Homecoming might be a bit better.
