John Mills  Sir John with wife (writer) Lady Mary Hayley Bell  Their daughters, Hayley Mills  and Juliet Mills   I love all the Mills family!! John had his daughters in movies while they were still infants. Juliet Mills was played cameo infant roles in In Which We Serve (1942), So Well Remembered (1947), The October Man (1947), The History of Mr. Polly (1949). Hayley Mills played in movies with her father too: So Well Remembered (1947), Tiger Bay (1959) and later in The Chalk Garden (1964), and my favorite, The Family Way (1966) where John play Hayley new father-in-law. I think John Mills saw a big opening for her with live action Disney movies after making, Swiss Family Robinson (1960) and that may have been part of how she got her role in Pollyanna (1960). I don't know, but I remember him doing interviews on the subject. |

These two guys got their kids into movies. The guy on the left got a son and granddaughter roles in The Alamo.  And the guy on the right also has an actor son. |

The BridgesFather and husband Lloyd Bridges was in many movies and TV series. I remember him best from TV's Seahunt.  Lloyd was married to Dorothy Dean Bridges until his death. They two had 4 children.   The two sons of Lloyd and Dorothy Dean Bridges co-starred in The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) Jeff Bridges (far left) and Beau Bridges(far right)....both Jeff and Beau have continue to make movies and TV shows. Jeff and Beau have a sister, Cindy Bridges..  Jeff and Beau have a sister, Cindy Bridges..Beau Bridges is the adopted father of Casey Bridges and son Jordan Bridges.He also has a daughter,
Emily Bridges who was in Purple Mind (2011).

Your mention of this family reminds me of THE DOTRICE FAMILY.
Father Roy Dotrice
Daughters (all actresses), Michele Dotrice with husband, actor Edward Woodward
Karen Dotrice
Yvette Dotrice, along with her sisters and her mother and father. I honestly can't tell which daughter is which, but I suspect Yvette is the youngest one on the left. This was from a "This is Your Life Roy Dotrice" episode.

Image search strikes again: that's Jean Marsh. For whatever reason, image searches of the Dotrice siblings yield consistently confused results, and I'm unable to nail down a definitive one of Yvette. |

I thought it looked like Jean Marsh, but there was just enough similarity - though I did think she was too old. I don't know Yvette Dotrice, however, so I'll delete the image and look for another. Thanks for the alert.
Check out my addition above and see if you agree with me. I believe Yvette is the youngest in the family. That may very well be right. Here's one that seems to come up in most image searches, and I sense a resemblance.  |

The Cartwright sisters--I often get these two mixed up. Veronica Cartwright was the girl in Hitchcok's The Birds (1963) and she played Rosalie Wells in The Children's Hour (1961). (can't find a postable image)

We might consider other siblings who made it into film (TV or movies) I'm not too good at getting images up fast: Ron and Clint Howard--Ron Howard often uses Clint in his movies. Ron Howard has a couple acting daughters: Bryce Dallas Howard and Paige Howard.
