Toots was one scary dude in that one. I'd have predicted a Richard Widmark or at the very least a Dan Duryea level career for Harry based on his work in Key Largo.

It's great that all of Edward G. Robinson's gang have individual personalities and are not just generic henchmen.

It might not be the best movie Bogie and Bacall did together, but it's definitely my favorite. Simply love it.

"What's worse Curly, a dumbbell or a wise guy?"
"You hick! I'll be back pulling strings to get guys elected mayor or governor before you see a 10 buck raise!"

Another great part of the film is the symbolic message to post WWII America (and the world) to remain vigilante or past threats (fascism/nazism) could return to threaten us again.

One of my favorite Bogart films.
I especially love the final scene of the movie (on the boat). So damn suspenseful. The best part of the movie for me.

This movie is also the grandfather of Die Hard.

This movie is also the grandfather of Die Hard. I wouldn't really know about that, but it could be the son of The Petrified Forest and brother of The Desperate Hours.
