Apparently it is. I remember reading last week that someone (can't remember who) had received death threats and they were all of the "kill yourself" or "have a fatal accident" variety. Not pleasant and rather juvenile and moronic, but a bit of a stretch to call them death threats.
Edit: I remember the incident now. It was some ranga who went on ABC News ansld suggested parents should ask for/ look for signs of consent before they change their child's nappy.

This is the default reaction for a number of "fans" nowadays, who like to play the hard man in the relative safety of internet anonymity. If it's not threatening death, it's threatening to rape wives and daughters. Pathetic.
