Hmm... I do love Stagecoach, but I have to agree: The Searchers is his best.

My sentimental favorite is The Quiet Man but I think The Searchers was probably his best.

Is there a DVD collection of his anyone would recommend? I'd like to get into Wayne. Never really have yet. Century CollectionI paid about $50 on eBay.

Same, The Searchers is made even better knowing the full backstory behind it. I recommend Glenn Frankel's nonfiction book about the true story that inspired the novel which then in turn was adapted into the movie. Great read.
