It should be very obvious which of the 2006 movies about the plane hijacked on 9/11 is better, since one was made for television and the other for theatres... but I surprisingly preferred the former. UNITED 93 may have a better technical quality, but it’s much colder in its storytelling. Director Paul Greengrass focused mainly on realism, to the point where he didn't give any character protagonism. I get that he wanted to respect the passengers' memory, but it was hard to connect emotionally with them. With FLIGHT 93 (which is a good production for its standards), it’s the opposite. 7/10 vs 4/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog (in English, in Spanish or in Italian).

In this case, I preferred the colder, more documentary style approach. Fight was really amateur and manipulatelive, always cutting back to the wives and husbands at home with their kids in the background. I get it, they had families. Yet United is the one that made me cry at the end.
