petrolino I've seen all of those you've listed, except The Express. I guess I never realized just how many sports movies Quaid has been in. The Rookie was a movie I never really sought out, it sort of found me. I had no expectations but it really impressed me. I think of Carol as an unofficial sequel to Far From Heaven too! Both are beautiful movies.

Both are beautiful movies. It's funny, he has been drawn to some interesting sports projects over the years. I watched 'The Express' in part because I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, but it's really a fine film.
I look forward to seeing 'The Rookie' - I enjoyed John Lee Hancock's later sports drama 'The Blind Side' (2009).

I'm itching to see 'Dragonheart' now. Thanks for the positive recommendation.
I snapped up 'Pandorum' (2009) on dvd. Great movie.
I'm glad you enjoyed Pandorum, petrolino. I hope you enjoy Dragonheart too if/when you get to see it.

Yes, like him well enough to the point of being interested if I see his name on the cast list. He doesn't do accents too well though.
Own and often revisit these >
The Long Riders (1980) The Right Stuff (1983) Innerspace (1987) Wyatt Earp (1994) Any Given Sunday (1999) Frequency (2000) The Rookie (2002)
The Alamo (2004) is a favourite film but he's barely in it for it to count as one of his better pictures.
Now that he is on topic it has reminded me I really must seek Suspect out.
