I'll never forget the taste of this, from Popeyes somewhere in New Orleans. The Cajun Chicken sandwich.

Also, a jalapeno sauce-based Burger King sandwich I had in Mexico City (yeah, yeah, I know, but you can't eat local traditional food every day) - but I can't remember what they called it, so no pic available. I've never seen it advertised in the UK sadly but, brother, did it hit the spot. You're not a merkin. What's your excuse for incorrectly calling that a sandwich🕵️ Nobody is a 'merkin' since that's not anything other than a pubic wig.

Most Australian take away shops do these. Hamburger with the lot. Outstanding. sweeet!!! looks like there's no rhyme or reason to the 'layering' concept there - but that's what a sloppy burger is all about

The thing is that any time you throw shawarma meat in it (you probably known it as doner) it becomes shawarma or doner. So that is the real identity for this food. May be you can call it doner with bun or doner wrap. <---- lost <---- needs tutoring on 'shawarma' and 'donor' Have you seen this thing?
It's famous in Australia & UK as Doner. In middle east it could also be called Shawarma. Greeks have a thing called gyro which might be similar to it.

da fuq? when i was a kid i had a greek boss in a pizza shop. he brought us all down to downtown philly once to try gyro's. can't say i enjoyed it - but truth be told when you get older your tastebuds adapt/change correct? hell - never knew i'd love asparagus, brocolli and spinach now. gyro - kind of looks like a 'meat' with a 'gravy' (sauce?) wrapped in a soft taco shell................. i know Arby's offers Gyros now too - maybe it's time i give the Gyro another chance.....

Toasted Bun Thin spread of Butter, Sauce or Mayo Pickles (Optional) Tomato Beeroot (Purple Beets, and presliced from a can) Shredded Iceberg Pineapple Slice Grilled Onions and Sauce (BBQ or Tomato sauce) Bacon Fried Egg (Gooey yolk) Cheese Beef Patty Thin layer of Sauce (BBQ or Tomato) Bun For some reason though, it is common for Australians to put lettuce and tomato on the bottom and the bottom bun becomes a soggy watery mess. Likewise, many places refuse to melt the cheese, and put it with the cold section.

Gyros are not some exotic oddity guys. Pretty normal, common, and obviously delicious. Why anyone would go to Arby's for one, I have no idea.

Going to have to give that a shot - and glad to see I'm not the only one that enjoys egg on a burger - talk about a 'protein bomb'

There was a great one from long john silvers years ago. Some kinda chicken wrap with a sauce on it that was delicious. It was a seasonal thing so it was hardly ever there but when it was I was all over it.
