Slimbridge and Shirehampton? I wish, that would be awesome... Sutton United and Boreham Wood. The closest we get to an international tournament is when we play a friendly over the bridge in South Wales. |

This won't be the first international cup competition that Sutton United have played in. They even won it one year (1980).
That cup competition doesn't exist anymore.
What was it🤔
Other winners have included Newcastle United, and AS Roma.

I have no idea what they're thinking, I suppose it's no more bizarre than having Irish and Welsh teams in it though. I win the internet - Sutton won the Anglo-Italian Cup.

1) speaking of highly prestigious international tournaments - which Scottish team did Chesterfield beat on their way to Anglo-Scottish Cup glory in 1981?
2) do you actually subscribe to the North Briton, as I like to call it? Even a free subscription is too much for me, as I find it absolutely dreadful.
