Very well made AI film, much in the same vein as Wargames, although very different films otherwise. Solid production for a small budget film, it never really looks low budget, the introduction of the AI Colossus at the beginning is impressive and sets a proper tone (which did remind me very much of Fantastic Voyage). The technological limitations of the time are obvious, I can't hold that against it. I think the look of this film from 1970 is part of its charm, just like with Wargames from the early 80s. The cast is quite good, especially the lead Eric Braeden, who plays the subdued, calm, rational creator of Colossus. I won't spoil any surprises, and there are a few, but it is a very satisfying, even daring film. 8/10
