I know it's just ST, but still Tanaka, Shreive, and Montgomery combined to no hit the tigers!

Who was saying the Yankees pithing is sub-standard? Seems like they're doing exceptionally well this spring!

Yeah, it's just spring, but they look really good. Best record so far. Next year, they will hit the fA market for SP. then it's time to contend for another title!

If the Yanks start out bad, will you jump back on the Mets bandwagon?

Who was saying the Yankees pithing is sub-standard? Seems like they're doing exceptionally well this spring! It was me. Their rotation IS sub-standard, no way of skirting it. The back end of their bullpen is terrific, but their rotation after Tanaka is going to get lit up, especially in that division. Doing exceptionally well in spring training...so are the awful Twins, White Sox and As. The Yankees are surely better than those 3 but their rotation will keep them around .500 this year. 2018 is definitely a promising year from them though as they continue to shed payroll and build from within.

Lineup looks pretty good, although the constant round-robin of Granderson, Bruce, Lagares, Conforto and Duda may get a little bothersome.
Rotation looks great at the top with Syndergaard and deGrom. deGrom looks like he's in 2015 form with that pinpoint command and easy, deceptive velocity. Biggest issues, obviously, are Harvey and Steven Matz. Matz has looked sharp but he's constantly nicked up. Harvey's velocity was back up in his last start, and that's really the biggest concern for him going into the year, but we really need those two to stay healthy and, particularly in Harvey's case, to be effective. I think he's a dickhead personally, but there's no doubting how good his stuff is when he's right.
I love Gsellman in the 5th spot. Kid has really good stuff. Wheeler will start the year in extended spring training and will join the team coming out of the bullpen presumably, being the first man up if someone in the rotation goes down.
