Hi all
The ICM movies board - which now hosts the Best of Year polls that migrated from imdb1 - will be polling 1925 soon.
My silent film viewing is more than a little patchy - Can anyone suggest some crowd pleasing recommendations from that year? You need to have at least 5 films in your ballot and at this point I only have POTEMKIN, STRIKE and GOLD RUSH from that year that I'd recommend. So I need to view at least 2 more films from that year I like enough to nominate.
Oh and if anyone wants to participate in the current poll - 1969 - here is linkl1969 poll
Thanks in advance!

In full? You mean its the actual uncut (as much as can be possible) version that includes Christ's crucified hand & the Psalm 30:5 intertitle?

In full? You mean its the actual uncut (as much as can be possible) version that includes Christ's crucified hand & the Psalm 30:5 intertitle? Sorry, not sure of those scenes, but as I recall it runs 140 minutes (?) and looks great. Edit - that's 143 minutes and those scenes don't seem to be in it.

Thought so. I also wish to add that the mid-race exchange between Messala and the Greek charioteer was originally 'subtitle-ish' - an intertitle imposed on an actual moving scene of charging chariots- but the Warner DVD/BluRay make it a simple intertitle. The only version you can see those scenes is the MGM/UA VHS/Laserdisc.
