Yes. I watched "Äkta människor" to, that "Humans" is based upon. Both are really good.

I've only seen the first two seasons, but I did quite enjoy the show. I honestly didn't think it was getting a third season, but am glad to hear that it did.
Gemma Chan is the main reason I started watching Humans when it premiered here. She immediately caught my attention in the previews (her obvious gorgeousness probably had something to do with that), but it was her performance as Anita in Season 1 that really impressed me. Along with Summer Glau and Alicia Vikander, Gemma is one of very few actresses who I’ve felt really ‘gets’ how to play a robot/robot-like character. Most seem to think that acting robotic means acting one-note and stiff (and I realise that might seem obvious), but I think that what the three actresses I mentioned brought to their roles was an underlying ‘human’ quality. I think all three characters (Chan’s Anita from Humans, Glau’s Cameron from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Vikander’s Ava from Ex Machina) gave off something more than just coldness/stiffness. The actresses portraying them added another layer (or two...or three) to their characters that made it clear there was something else going on underneath the surface.
I know that Anita is actually ‘Mia’ and she has her own will now after the end of Season 1, but there was something about Gemma’s performance when she was playing ‘Anita’ (ie. like all the other synths who hadn’t been awakened) that I found absolutely enthralling. The way she talks ensures that I’m always paying full attention whenever she’s onscreen (whereas some of the other characters/storylines don’t particularly hold my attention). I just find her absolutely fascinating to watch.
I was delighted to see her in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – it’s just a shame she had such a minor part. I’m hoping she’ll be more featured in the sequel. I'm also looking forward to watching Season 3 of Humans...assuming we ever actually get it here.

Season 3 started on AMC this week. I enjoy the show. Does anyone else here watch it? Just got the first episode of Season 3 on TV here tonight. SO glad to have the show back. Not only because I enjoy the series, but because it means Gemma Chan back on my TV! I'm firmly on 'Team Synth' here. The people mostly suck...though there are some decent ones (just like real life). I appreciate this show's deadpan humour. It's not as 'in your face' as some shows. Though it was sad to see that they've now created these orange-eyed Synths who're back to being 100% obedient/controlled. Not as sad, though, as what came after Max's speech to his fellows Synths. That's all well and good, Max...but it certainly didn't do poor Flash (and the other Synth she was with at the store) much good when they were set upon by Synth-hating humans. It was horrible seeing such a kind Synth as Flash die horribly and without any mercy. While I do like the actor who plays Max (he has a very 'calming' quality to his voice/the way he speaks), I'm hoping he takes some sort of action. The new character of Agnes instantly caught my attention. Turns out I've actually seen the actress who plays her (Holly Earl) in a few things prior to this (the most significant role being in one of the Doctor Who Christmas Specials - she's certainly grown up quite a bit since then). At first it seemed like she may have been a bit of a 'troublemaker' for Max and his wanting to keep things 'civil' between the Synths and humans, but by the end she came out looking pretty heroic by standing up to the armed men and staring them down as they pointed a gun at her face. Niska continues to be pretty awesome. I hope she makes whoever was responsible for the bombing pay. I'm actually glad that the Hawkins are split up now. The past two seasons it seemed like a constant will they/won't they (separate) and now it's done. Hopefully 'family drama' doesn't take up too much screentime. I'm much more interested in the Synth side of things. Having said that, it was good the show made sure Mattie felt the weight of her actions in last season's final and the consequences of it here. I still don't give two figs about Leo. Colin Morgan has annoyed me since Merlin and I don't find his character particularly interesting here, so him being in a coma the whole episode didn't bother me at all. The only really disappointing thing about the episode was that Gemma Chan's Mia didn't get a whole lot to do. I hope they give her more in the remaining episodes. On the whole, this was a pretty good season premiere. While I'm a bit disappointed that this'll be the last season, it's better they go out 'on top'/finish before things get stretched out too far. Not really sure where you can go after the 'Robopocalypse' - which is where it kind of looks like this is heading towards (at least to me, anyway). Guess we'll see.

Just watched episode 2 of Season 3. Well, we found out how Max managed to avoid a Synth/human bloodbath...by shoving poor Agnes down on the ground and commanding others standing along with her to 'kneel' (he left out 'before ̶Z̶o̶d̶ Max'). She actually made a good point to him later on when she said "All you've ever done is promise that the humans will one day accept us. By the time they do, will there be any of us left, Max?". Niska also offered him some sage advice. Speaking of Niska, I enjoyed her little road trip she went on with Mia. I can't recall when these two characters last spent some quality time together, but what a pair they make. I got a laugh out of Mia acting 'human' with the police. Complete with 'aye aye, sir' hand gesture. Though lucky for her they never bothered to ask her to remove the sunglasses. Also amusing was Laura's new orange-eyed Synth she was stuck with, Stanley. I especially liked... Stanley: "Congratulations on a successful first session, Laura." Laura: "Are you in piss-take mode? They didn't listen to a word I said." Stanley: "I do not have a - warning, possibly obscenity - piss-take mode." For someone who was supposedly against the 'orange eyes'...Laura certainly used him a lot. Speaking of that^ scene where the a-hole humans disturbed the happy family outing and tossed a bottle at them/told them to bugger off...this show makes it hard to side with the human characters (other than the few who are on the side of the Synths). I'm still hoping for Robopocalypse and for these nasty people to be made to pay for all the horrible things they've done to Synths.

In case anyone here hasn't heard, there won't be a season 4. The show has been cancelled.

Bummer. I liked the show but it moved slowly. Most people expect a little more pizzazz from robot shows.

Netflix has the Russian take on robots, Better Than Us, similar to Humans but kinda boring.

Well, I’ll be adding this show’s series final to the pile of most disappointing/rage-inducing series finals I’ve watched over the years. As usual, annoying kid characters ruin everything (getting other characters killed through their foolishness and not suffering any consequences for their actions while adult characters pay the price). You killed off my favourite character/main reason for watching...screw you, show! Even if there were another season, I doubt I’d be interested in watching after this. I think I’ll just pretend the show ended with the Season 2 final (like I originally thought the show had). Back when the show was still good. The one good thing I can say is that this show introduced me to Gemma Chan. More than anything, I hope she goes onto bigger/better things and The Eternals movie she’s been cast in is a big hit/gets her more recognition.
