I took that flight a number of years back. I thought I had missed the flight because the idiot taxi driver got lost in Newark on the way to the airport. Fortunately, the flight was delayed, so it didn't matter. Fortune smiled on me twice that day, as the clerk doing the check-ins turned out to be a patient of mine and upgraded me to a seat in the next-higher level of service. So the 19 hours didn't turn out to be so bad after all, especially with the numerous viewing choices available on the personal tv's. And flying back to the US, I got a lot of sleep in. I think I was able to find several unoccupied adjacent seats and lie down (don't recall for sure though). Singapore Airlines has (or at least had at that time) top-notch service.

No. The longest flight i've been on took 16 hours due to bad wheather and that we got redirected several times to other airports, it was truly horrible.

No. I don't really want to be in either place. OK, so would you take a 19 hour flight between two places you did want to be?

Longest I've done is 11.5, followed by a 10 hour JFK - Santiago which wasn't too bad (thanks to a great entertainment system). I want to visit Sydney at some point, which would be 14 hours from LA. After a certain point, I think humans aren't designed to be cooped up in a metal tube for too long.

I thought it was Syndey to Los Angeles according to Inception. I took that flight a few years back. The WORST flight I have ever suffered through. What little cushioning there had been in the seat I was assigned had worn out, so the trip was like sitting on concrete for all those hours. My bones and muscles were hurting so much by the time I got to Sydney that I just stayed in bed for a day to recover.

If I were flying to Sydney from Toronto, I'd stop in Honolulu, maybe even for more than a couple hours.

I wouldn't love it but I'd take it. I fly to South Africa from New York often. That's already 14-15 hours. So 19 hours isn't that much more.

If it had power outlets available to all passengers, yes. But only to visit someone I knew.
