I don't know why you all think kids are so fragile. All of these movies are suitable for kids as young as 10 or even younger IMO. If Old Yeller and Bambi's mom didn't hurt us, these movies certainly won't. Heck I started going to R rated movies when I was about 12.

These movies are PG 13, meaning they're meant for people 13 yrs and over. Anyone younger would need parental guidance .

Sam Raimi's Spiderman's movie were pg 13 and they were more mature than homecoming.

Part of the criticisms of the second film apart from the thin plot is how childish it was. Thor series is also quite frustrating. the first one was one of their most mature with a LOTR setting and Shakespearian vibe only for that to be ruined by Thor 3 that copied GOTG.

If he watched it then he knows Ronan was never defeated by a dance-off.

Actually there's only about 3-4 of you here who keep talking about the dance-off, and almost all of you are trolls. So forgive me for not putting much basis on what trolls complain about.

Uhuh. Sure it is. I bet you're going to claim that other people who complain about the dance off are smart, unbiased people as well right?

It's a comedy. It wasn't taking itself that seriously hence the dance off.
Spider-man 3 had three different dance sequences in it and that wasn't a comedy.

Antman is battling Darren Cross on a train set Just how long are you gonna stick with your "Ronan was beat by dancing" story? Dancing didn't beat Ronan the infinity gem did, calling for a dance off was Quill's last minute idea for a distraction and its total randomness and bizarre placement worked in the Guardians' advantage and it fit in Quill's characterization, how would you have handled it? Keep in mind he's not exactly a speech generator like Captain America. For pete's sake the movie is called ANT-MAN, they had to illustrate how small the characters can shrink on screen, and the train set bit is part of a sequence where Darren Cross attempts to obliterate Scott Lang's daughter Cassie who is barely ten years old - You call that kiddie?

I think people all confusing the term "kiddie" with "child friendly". All the MCU movies are child friendly, some more than others. But none of them are kiddie.

How would you have Star Lord as he is written in the film handle the situation? Ronan is about to use the power of the infinity gem, both he and Gamora are weaponless and have no chance of taking him on head-on, and Rocket and Drax, who are not in Ronan's eye sight, are making their way to a blaster that could stop him - so what should he have done? Remember, Quill is not a motivational speech generator like Captain America so the possibilities of him saying some kind of long, drawn out message about why good will always triumph over evil and such and such is not really a strong possibility here.

Only because people like you keep making it out to be a big problem when its actually a pretty clever and fresh moment in an unconventional superhero movie. But hey, everything must be "dark n' gritty" in order to be considered "fresh" and "original".
