Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' (2018)
Reports are out that Jennifer Lawrence has seen 'A Star Is Born' and loves it; Lawrence acted alongside star-director Bradley Cooper in David O'Russell's films 'Silver Linings Playbook' (2012), 'American Hustle' (2013) and 'Joy' (2015) as well as Susanne Bier's depression-era drama 'Serena' (2014). Cooper's film is the third remake and follows William Wellman's classic original 'A Star Is Born' (1937), George Cukor's beloved musical 'A Star Is Born' (1956) and Frank Pierson's rock 'n' roll update 'A Star Is Born' (1976). The latter starred Barbra Streisand who has seen parts of the upcoming remake which she described as being "very very good".
'Liza Minnelli typically slams or boycotts movies associated with her mom, but Lady Gaga's role in "A Star Is Born" could totally change Minnelli's mindset ... TMZ has learned. Sources close to Liza tell us she absolutely adores Gaga, and it's likely she'll actually go and see the singer play the role her mother, Judy Garland, once filled. If you didn't know -- and if you're under 55, that's likely -- Judy starred in the 1954 version of the movie.
Liza's said she rarely, if ever, watches reboots of Garland flicks ... out of respect for her mother. The trailer for the new film dropped Wednesday and there's a ton of buzz. We're told Liza and Gaga are friends who admire each other's work ... so, that's why she's considering breaking her Garland rule.'

"As you may have guessed from her joyful presence at the Academy Awards last month, Julie Andrews truly adored Lady Gaga’s performance during the Sound Of Music montage during the ceremony. The iconic actress appeared on stage after the sultry singer had performed, and she’s now confirmed that she wasn’t faking the appreciation that she showered upon the pop singer at the time.
When asked for her thoughts on Lady Gaga’s tribute to The Sound Of Music during an interview with People, the actress responded enthusiastically, "She hit it out of the ballpark." However, Andrews wasn’t just impressed with Gaga’s singing, but her demeanor as well. The singer/songwriter actually called Andrews to make sure that the she was okay with the rendition, and Andrews was further impressed that Gaga didn’t make a fuss about handing over the stage immediately after her performance. Said the Oscar winner, "That’s a really wonderful thing to do too I think. As they say in Hollywood jargon, ‘She rates tall in my book.’"
