"Spoiler jihad"? "true Rebel Alliance"? "War against Kathleen Kennedy"? Who wrote this, Gavin McInnes?

Just Disney taking a page from their commie playbook. As resistance to their SJW agenda increases, create a phantom menace to deflect blame onto.
If people despise Tran it is because her character sucks. The idea that there is a ragtag gang of angry white guys who are in a rage over multiculturalism is just BS.
Disney is making mass market films that sucks. That will increase negative reactions and for someone like Tran, she is a sitting target.
Its not like she is going to be bombarded by people who love her.

If it takes harassing complete strangers online to make yourself feel tall, those types of boys (and let's be clear it is mostly BOYS) should be castrated.

If it takes harassing complete strangers online to make yourself feel tall, those types of boys (and let's be clear it is mostly BOYS) should be castrated. Assuming they are legit and not some Disney promo group.
It is not an honest company. When they replaced the Tibetan guy with a white woman in Dr Strange they said it was to not upset China which is not a very morally conscious action--it means they want to help culturally genocide Tibet.
The fact is you have a mass marketed film made by someone who considered Annie Hall his favorite film (the antithesis of a Star Wars film) and according to Hamill he deliberately sought to make a film that was counter to audience expectations and desires.
By all accounts, even from people who liked the movie, the Tran character sucked. So what does she do? She creates an internet profile where it is easy to contact her. The film is seen by lots of people. Multiply that.
Then factor in people who say nasty things anonymously. The numbers keep going up.
Imagine being on her end, and waking up every day to some random people telling her the character sucks or she is ugly.
It's like the Gong Show but without a censor.
Whoever told her to have an instagram account was sadistic. Or it just shows how clueless people at Disney were about the dislike of their forced SJW agenda.

Convenient timing. Just as the news is all about Solo tanking at the box office Disney finds a new "dramatic" story to divert attention that just happens to be directed at fans who didn't like TLJ.
I wonder if they realize they are revealing their agenda by their reactions?
1-Claim the TLJ backlash is a small minority of fans 2-Call the fans who don't like TLJ "sexists"
What studio would spend this much time responding to a "small minority" of fans?
Because every franchise has a small minority of crazy fans who send in death threats. But studios certainly don't spend any time responding to them.
So they are really talking to a much larger group of people or they wouldn't bother. So claim #1 is BS.
And the only way you define fans who don't like a movie as "sexists" is if you view that movie as a political vehicle for "gender equality" politics. So they are actually admitting that was their goal with the movie. If you don't like the movie it must mean you are a "sexist".
We couldn't dislike it for other reasons, right? Like...Luke being turned into a cowardly hermit? Stupid casino subplot that went nowhere? Leia Poppins? Ridiculous Porgs? Return of the Jedi rehashing? Weak antagonist who whines too much? A protagonist who never has to journey or struggle to achieve anything?
So yeah...agenda revealed.

Didn't the Stranger Things girl actress do the same thing because she's also being harassed? Seems to be a common thing these days.

All I know is that TLJ sucks and most audiences agree. And Solo didn’t make any money.
It is a crisis for Disney. They won’t admit it but a blind man could see it. They dropped the ball and they know it.

TLJ didn't suck, it just wasn't about Luke reclaiming his role as the lead and instantly defeating the entire First Order in minutes.

I don't think it was, I think people are just still sour over Luke dying at the end instead of taking over the Sequels as the lead.

People would've been fine with Luke as a not-lead properly handing over the torch. They just don't think its appropriate for a character like Luke to become such a failure with no legacy.

Star Wars tropes were subverted just because for the sake of being subverted. And Star Wars isn't really meant to be subverted. If you're gonna do "subversions", just don't do it to the OT characters.

A passing the Torch thing was always going to be nigh-impossible, especially with the new movies not being made by Lucas and the 30 years time skip. No matter what OT fans were going to be pissed at new characters.
