I think the only movie i have seen him in are The Father of the Bride (1991) and The Father of the Bride 2 ( 1995 )
And the first one is better than the second one. So based on those to movies i am going to say The Father of the Bride (1991) But non of them are really that good.

Recommend seeing any of the others mentioned above … especially the ones mentioned multiple times. Planes Trains and Automobiles Roxanne The Jerk Parenthood etc.

I'd say either The Jerk or L.A. Story. I've never seen The Jerk, I loved L.A. Story, but have you not seen Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or Leap of Faith?
From IMDb - Two con men try to settle their rivalry by betting on who can swindle a young American heiress out of $50,000 first. It is an absolute scream, Michael Caine plays the part of the older, more suave con man, and Steve Martin is at his comic best, especially as "Ruprect the Monkey Boy". Highly recommended. In Leap of Faith he plays a more serious role as a jaded faith healer con artist. An interesting storyline and a bit of a surprise ending. Oh, and Parenthood is a classic!

I saw both of those once a long time ago and I have a vague recollection of them. They didn't really stick with me like L.A. Story did. I'll have to give them another chance and watch again.
The Jerk is kinda silly but still funny.
