I thought she was very good...as were the kids who played Ritchie and Eddie...and Pennywise.
Those 4 stood out. The rest were fine but those 4 stood out.

Beverly was perfectly cast, great little actress.
But don't you think she looked a lot like a younger Amy Adams? But instead they've cast Jessica Chastain, who is a great actress, but Amy looks more like child Beverly.

Yeah she was great. The kid who played Richie was really good too, he was also great in Stranger Things. And I think the best performance of all was Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise.

I agree completely, I think they screwed the pooch on this one just to get (arguably) the bigger name.

That being said, I am going to give Jessica Chastain a chance.

What does everybody else here think ? I agree with the general consensus. 9 months since seeing it, she's the only character that really still sticks out in my mind. A testament to the actress and the way the character was written for the screen. On another note: is there any word about an extended/director's cut blu-ray coming out in the future? I keep hearing murmurs about it and am holding off on buying it just in case.

I liked the kid who played "Ben" (the fat kid).
He was charming in his way and you just know (even if you didn't see the original "It") that he's going to get the girl he wants eventually.
I liked him!

Pennywise was incredible.
I didn't think anyone could beat Tim Curry at anything, but this guy was incredible.
He was cute, creepy, horrifying and deadly.
Everything a clown should be (if you're scared of clowns).

I liked the girl a lot (and I love Jessica Chastain) so I think the next movie should be fine with Jessica as the grown woman.
