are there a lot?
I think jump scares should be banned. especially the ones where they play with your anticipation with long periods of silence, things you think are off the frame, doors yet to be opened, girls waiting to turn around, and all that other crap. it becomes this silly guessing game and a stressfest. it's freaking cheesy as hell.

Great movie, probably my fav of the year to this point. Want to watch again but fuck, it was so draining lol. Saw it in a press screening.
Relied much more on atmosphere and tension than jump scares. Pretty sure there were only two, max. The imagery was so unsettling too. I sometimes find myself holding my neck randomly or thinking about the ants over those scenes after the aftermath smh.

A couple slight jumps in the second half where it becomes more of a traditional horror. A well executed traditional horror mind you. It was still effective as hell.
