I'm really on the fence here, leaning towards the Ritz.

...between a $50 filet and an $8 hot dog, I'd ask instead for a broiled red snapper filet...

Hot dog at the ballpark for me. For one, I'd much rather be at a ballgame than in some hotel. But I also tend to prefer hot dogs, hamburgers, bacon, etc. over "fancier" meats, some of which I don't like at all.
And I'd especially take the hot dog at the ballpark if I'm paying. I don't like spending a lot of money on food in restaurants. I don't care how rich I'd be, I'd never spend $100 or any amount like that on a meal.

I'm neither a sports guy or a hipster, so I don't know about venue. Food wise though, you gotta go for the filet mignon steak obviously. Delicious and way more bang for your buck than a simple hot dog.

It depends entirely on who's paying. While I am not exactly living paycheck-to-paycheck and could afford a fillet mignon dinner at the Ritz, I am sure it would cost much, much more than I am used to spending to dine out. So, if someone else is paying, I would go for the Ritz. If I am paying, give me the hot dog.

Steak over hotdogs. That's my rule. Assuming we're taking money out of the equation. Sometimes I don't feel like spending those high prices.

Depends on the game. Foodwise, the steak. But I wouldn't feel comfortable at the Ritz and would need new clothes. And if you think a stadium hot dog is expensive, ...
