Funny how they're not really promoting it. Maybe the expectations for it are low.

I'm sure the marketing will really kick in next week. Besides, the name guarantees money and that's what matters to the studio.

This is probably the least interested I've ever been in a JP movie. And I actually really enjoyed JW, and think it was a little underappreciated as a self-parody. But this just looks like a poor man's The Lost World, and The Lost World was ALREADY a poor man's The Lost World.
Even the trailer music annoys me.
Reeeeeeeee rooooooooo ... Reeeeeeeee rooooooooo ... Reeeeeeeee rooooooooo

They all have the same basic elements: big, bad dinosaur gets loose and kills people, then the humans win.

They all have the same basic elements: big, bad dinosaur gets loose and kills people, then the humans win. That's the problem with these films. There's only so much you can do with them. This is not a franchise that can really last for 8 or 9 sequels without repeating itself or becoming formulaic sooner rather than later.

NBC has been really hyping up the film for it. They devoted an entire episode of "American Ninja Warrior" to promote Jurassic World 2 as well as airing Jurassic World and Jurassic Park. But of course NBC Universal owns both NBC and Jurassic World 2.

I haven't been getting too much rave for it either. I'll still see it though, one way or the other.

I understand the need to make more money off the franchise, but there was nowhere credible they could go with it story-wise. The new park was so asinine. Right, because that would have got the OK after the first disaster.....
They would have been better off with a straight remake where the earlier films no longer applied.
