Let's not forget that she also won Best Actress Oscars for her performances in NORMA RAE (1979) and PLACES IN THE HEART (1984).
She was also nominated for eight prime-time Emmys and won three, including one for SYBIL.

No one ever mentions Kiss Me Goodbye (1982) or Back Roads (1981) from the early 80's. Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye was a long time ago, but I seem to recall it being an okay movie. James Caan was very unhappy during the filming, which could not have been pleasant for Sally and the rest of the cast and crew.  Back Roads was a movie that eluded my grasp until recently, but it disappointed. On paper, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones would appear to be an ideal movie coupling, but in reality they could just not get along. Plus, the movie is blah.  |
