And I was wondering what happened to our missing members?
But I take the credit of defeating CoolJGS☺ . He could never match me and thus ran away from this board once and for all. What did I miss?
I hope I wasn't called back for another "Ned Flanders Stark is awesome" debate.
You missed a lot. We have had some nice debates. I am trying my best these days to talk about side characters such as Ser Alison, Tormund and Beric such that Stark vs Lannister thing is put to rest and we get some cool topics. I hope you stay around. You can be interesting member even though you try to prove me wrong on everything.

The Jon Snow twist was stunning! I'm still trying to figure out the backstory in regards to the rebellion. I love that Cersei refuses to fight with the others. I was really disappointed when that allegiance was formed. It seemed too easy after all this time. I also have a wicked theory as to what happens to her next season. Perhaps I'll create a thread and post it. It was sad to see Lord Baylish go. He deserved it for being a manipulative creep, but the actor/character was so much fun to watch. I still want more exposition on the White Walkers and Night King. I know they were created by the Forest Children to fight men... But they never really explained who the Forest Children were. Or what the Walkers want now. Are they just mindless? Hopefully we get some of those answers. I do think they should've used more flashbacks with Bran to fill that all in. I can't believe I have to wait so long now for the end! I won't have HBO so who knows how long I have to wait for the DVDs...

Ignoring your other observations if I may write a bit about children of the forest then I have this to say: They are a different species from humans and the original inhabitants of the continent westeros. They are called 'children' because of their small stature. Children of forest were simple beings adept at magic and primarily prayed to or worshipped Weirwood trees. Humans came to the continent westeros primarily through two different invasions. Humans are originally from Essos continent. The first invasion of Westeros by humans happened roughly around 12,300 years before the show begins. The first invaders are called "The First Men". They came from grasslands of Essos, what you will know as Dothraki sea. First Men came with bronze weapons and started burning down weirwood trees for farming. This didn't go well with children of the forest. Both species fought long and violent wars with each until the pact was reached. According to the pact the First Men were not to cut down weirwoods and in return they could rule over rest of the continent. The peace between both species lasted for great and peaceful 000 years. That 4000 years period is often called "Age of Heroes". When the first Long Night came and White walkers appeared then both the First Men and children of forest fought against the White walkers. Eventually white walkers were kicked to extreme northern part and "wall" was built. The Starks are said to be descendent of the First Men. Eventually second invasion of Westeros happened 4000 years after white walkers were driven north of the wall. This time the invaders were again humans but a different race called "Andals". The Andals were from northern Essos and not Dothraki sea. The Andals started fighting with First Men for domination of the continent and were eventually able to drive the First Men to the northern parts (The Stark territory not the area beyond the wall). So of the 7 big houses Starks are the only one with very pure blood of First Men. Iron borns also carry the blood of First Men though they are not as pure First Men as Starks because they have married many times with Andals.

I wish they had put some of that backstory into the show. The Forest Children were nothing but an afterthought. It would only help the series to deepen some of this mythology. Of course, it's possible that they did mention some of this early on and I just forgot it.

Ned's sister ran away with the Targaryen prince instead of marrying Robert Baratheon and they had Jon. It started the rebellion at the end of which the prince was killed and his mad father toppled. Sometime it feels like Cersei is the only sane character in the story. The others are idiots planning to throw meat at the enemy without tactical thoughts (Jon Snow: "at least we'll give the fuckers a fight"). You'd think they would have spent the last two and a half seasons manufacturing dragonglass weapons (Stannis told Sam there was some on Dragonstone and he had a fleet, so…) like Qyburn devised an anti-dragon ballista. Nope. Collectivist fools just call for all to come and jump into the fire in hope it will make them feel better. Those who don't are labelled as villains. I know how it ends but beware, this cannot be unseen.

Also, did Robert know what actually happened? If I remember right he thought she was killed... I do like Cersei quite a lot. She's one of the better written characters. There's always a logic behind her actions. I may deem many of those actions ruthless and callous, but as a character she is very compelling. Is that a real spoiler? If so I won't click on it. I want to go in fresh

There's always a logic behind her actions. I may deem many of those actions ruthless and callous, but as a character she is very compelling. Is that a real spoiler? If so I won't click on it. I want to go in fresh Jon's father wasn't explicitly revealed in S6 but it was obvious. In S4E01, Oberyn told Tyrion that Rhaegar Targaryen left his sister for another woman and it started a war. In S6E03, in the flashback at the tower, Ned asks why the kingsguard weren't protecting the prince at the battle in which he died. One of them answered "he wanted us here". They were wanted there to guard Lyanna and the potentially future heir to the throne, not to keep an abducted girl. Robert never knew what really happened. Ned kept it a secret to make sure Robert wouldn't kill the child. Cersei is clearly one of the most complex characters. Jaime is another. The large majority of Cersei's actions are self-defence. She makes a few mistakes on the way but there is no evil in her, and no ruthless pursuit of an undeserved advantage as with Littlefinger. The latter had people killed and caused strife to further his position, he shook the ladder of power to make people fall off it so he could take their place. Cersei became queen by marrying the king, the honest, deserved way. She gave him apparent children so his rule would be stable. The rest is purely defensive. She does what she must to survive and keep her children and her family safe. Even antagonising Margaery was self-defence when she saw the new queen was working on the king to have her sent away from everything she cared about. The link is not a spoiler, only an ending I wrote before S7 aired. You still have the risk that the story goes this way. It's the outcome no one wants to even think of, so that makes it all the more likely.

Spooky Ghost AckbarSo a few questions now that you completed the show 1) Which continent you liked more. Westeros or Essos? 2) If the answer is Westeros then which part of Westeros you liked most? King's Landing, Winterfell, Vale, the Wall or the north of wall or some other place? 3) The single favourite scene of the show?

That giant pyramid that Deny lives in is too awesome, but I gotta go with Westeros. 2) Dragonstone! I mean, how cool is this room... :no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/8856747/Screen_Shot_2017_07_15_at_12.50.33_PM.png) 3) Too many scenes to choose from... I really enjoyed the meeting between all the major characters in season seven in the old dragon fighting arena. It was great to see so many of the characters coming together in one scene for the first time.

Dragonstone is a good choice! Thanks for your answer. Your turn! Same questions. And Leo of Red Keep and _ must answer them as well... I like Westeros far more. Essos lacked the feel of a continent because of lack of the concept of country. They were all city-states.
I like the north most! Which would include Winterfell, the wall and the north of the wall.
Battle of Castle Black was my favourite part.
