After Grizzly and Grizzly II: The Concert, my third, and final killer bear movie of the day was Claws. With a perfect title like that, it should really deliver, but it does not. A cast of no-names in a boring movie with little action or suspense. If I had not been over caffeinated, I would have found it to be the perfect movie to fall asleep to on the couch. My favorite part came at the end: The bear is set on fire and then plummets off a cliff. I'm not one for animal cruelty, but this movie tortured me long enough and this made me laugh.

Fantastic looking poster and very cool title, still never heard of until now but it seems like Youtube have the whole thing uploaded, so I might give it a chance later on.
Not sure if Prophecy (1979) counts as an killer bear movie, but it do have a fearsome and evil man eating creature which surely do resemble very much a combination of a bear and a pig of some kind. I know many people shit on that film, but I sure did enjoy the hell out of it, but I guess the big "mistake" that one did was trying to actually make it into a more serious themed plot, and I guess that kind of backfired.

Claws is on YT, you should check it out. Prophecy is a great monster movie with beautiful British Columbia scenery. I think it was a mutated bear that looked like Teddy Ruxpin on steroids.

I was just thinking of Prophecy which I also enjoyed.

I think it was movie critic, Leonard Maltin, who described the Prophecy monster as: "A Giant Salami."

I have nothing to add here really, just bumpin' all the killer bear threads so I figured, "What the heck!"
