Linda, the theme from MILLION DOLLAR MOVIE was the Tara theme from GWTW, written by the great Max Steiner. Yes, I know that, but THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN was shown frequently on the M$M.

I have never understood the attraction to ciggies...period! BTW, if anyone remembers the early version of the "Andy Capp" comic strip by the late Reg Smyth, the title character always had a cigarette butt dangling from his lower lip. When the strip was revived, that habit ceased--as well as his showing his "love" for his wife by beating her to a pulp and then stealing her money! I used to love Andy Capp but I don't remember him beating up his wife. I do remember her beating him, sometimes with a rolling pin. One strip that stands out in my memory: Mrs. Capp says "From now on I want you to treat me like a human being". In the next frame Andy pauses for a moment with a sly grin and "breaks the fourth wall" as they say. Next frame he looks back at her and says "Which one?" Next frame he is flat on the floor with stars spinning around his head. With the same sly grin he says "It's a sickness."

There used to be huge slugfests between Andy and Florrie Capp, usually depicted by a cloud of dust with fists and feet poking through. There are still those fights, but now it's between Capp and some dude at the pub. Capp is still the unemployed, lazy loafer who sponges off his long-suffering wife and friends, gets stinking drunk every night, and either falls into the Hartlepool Canal, or spends the night in jail (or "gaol" across the Pond). But at least he doesn't smoke any more, LOL.
