Shocking penalty decision. No way should that have been given. VAR IS KILLING THE GAMEπ Slaven Bilic said it was a penalty. He thought it was stupid the player was booked though. Martin O'Neill said no penalty. I tend to agree with O'Neill.

On the other hand:
Translation: The referees projected exactly this kind of sequence to the teams before the competition to tell them that the hands resulting from a position of the unnatural arms would be punished (= one should not jump the arms in the air).

That's pretty much it for Oz unless there's an upset in the other game. France and Denmark will both be happy with a draw in the last game.
Much better performance than the France game.

I think you are underestimating Aus's performance against France. Aus were not supposed to put up such a stiff challenge to one of the title contenders. I think today also Socceroos performed pretty well. Anyway, I am happy to get 10 points from this game for prediction contest.

I will tell you what is an unnatural position for the arms: putting them behind your back while jumping to head the ball, which I have seen some players doing at this World Cup.
If that is the new rule, than I guess that's the correct decision, but I for one don't like it one bit. I don't see any overwhelming reason why a completely involuntary touch should be punished with a penalty.
