What are YOUR summer plans?
For me, besides normal beach and pool days, going to spend a long weekend in Philly next month, coupled with a hiking trip to upstate NY. Beautiful hiking up there and some great food and wine spots along the Hudson.

I go to the pool every time I have a day off.
Been doing that every summer, for years.

Still deciding what to do with our late Summer vacation, but no big trips planned this year. Taking the fam up to Maine next month. My son is a hell of an outdoorsman for a three year old, he's going to have a blast.

Yes it is but I have to admit (and it's a little embarrassing as a New Englander), I'm not really a seafood guy. My wife loves lobster though, and you can't go to Maine (or Cape Cod) without lobster being involved.

The one thing am most jealous of is the availability and price of lobster in the US compared to the UK. Its like an everyday food to youz lot , its a rare treat for me

Oh, you know, usual West Country traditions...
Morris dancing. Shin kicking. Deflowering virgins. The odd sacrifice or two.
Think Wicker Man.

I grew up on Long Island and never so much as tasted seafood of any sort until I went away to school in New Orleans. On Day 1, realizing it was a new life, I got seafood gumbo and blackened redfish. I've never looked back.

I'm secretly planning to annex it as part of New England.

Having gone to school upstate, and being from New England originally, I can tell you that those who live there believe they are in New England and not New Yorkers. Your war shouldn't last long.

Lots of Japanese and Korean movies at the Fantasia Film Festival here in Montreal for three weeks in July and August.
One weekend in Quebec City in August to see the Berthe Morisot exhibition at the Fine Arts Museum there.
Aside from that, probably a day trip on a weekend here and there to do some light hiking in a provincial park or something.
