Looks like it's too late: history has repeated itself: the atheists, satanists have once again dominated these message boards that are supposed to be about faiths and religions. You might want to take at look at the board and see that Blade, supposedly religious, has started a topic about homosexuality being violent. You might want to rethink your erroneous accusation

Yes, when we learned the IMDb boards were being eliminated, we all gathered at our weekly goat dance and discussed how to best serve our Dark Lord and Master. After the blood-drinking ritual it was agreed this internet message board is way too important to allow the real Christians to spread their religion. I wanted us to dominate the Parrots4Jesus board, but my suggestion was vetoed.

Hi there. Let's please keep this imdb message board about religions, faiths and spirituality this time. That means we talk about such and encourage others to do the same. But that's how it has always been I thought?

But that's how it has always been I thought? You're right, it has. Over the years there have always been people who don't want any off-topic discussion on the board. Of course nobody can stop anyone from having discussions about religion, faith or spirituality. What the complainers really don't like is the presence of non-religious posters and the inevitable criticism of religious beliefs. Srb3 said it earlier in this thread -- "the atheists, satanists". The majority of theist regulars here don't seem to have a problem with the presence of non-believers. I agree this board could use more civility. But given the history of animosity between many of the regulars, that isn't likely to happen soon. And some people in both camps are just assholes -- a reflection of real life. There is no requirement to respond to those people. After people of all beliefs post on a board for a while, they get to know each other. Many of us are curious about opinions on other topics of those posters with whom we've become acquainted, and are less interested in what strangers on other boards think. When the board is limited to one topic, it doesn't take long to become stale. And sometimes off-topic threads help us to realize there are actual humans behind the usernames.
The admin, John, has stated that he's aware of the long history in this community of off-topic discussion and he's not going to force us to stay on-topic. For some reason the malcontents seem unwilling to use the blocking function provided to resolve their complaints.

I also don't see how a discussion board could even last that long if every member on the board had the exact same beliefs about something.. if everyone did have the same beliefs then what would we be discussing about exactly? Typically discussions involve different points of views and that's what most people who like to discuss things want. You're better off joining a cult then if you dont want to hear other opinions different from yours. and some people think atheism is a religion too, so they shouldn't be the ones to exclude atheists from here if they think that. Anyways it is very obvious that this is only their issue and not something they should be taking out on atheists. They can just leave if they don't like it here.

That means we talk about such and encourage others to do the same. heaven knows there's more than enough subject matter generated by the religiously-inclined to keep a small warehouse of scribblers busy for centuries to come. but limiting a message board to one's who biased agenda tends to end up being a circle jerk daisy chain that even satan would frown upon.
