I say give them red card and ban them for a 1 year from playing football. And if they do it again ban them for life.

It needn't be so Draconian to resolve the issue. A simple straight red and mandatory three-match ban would do it pretty quickly.
If FIFA had the cojones to introduce such a policy, the referees had the cojones to actually implement it and the various governing bodies had the cojones to stand by them when the shit starts to fly, that is.

They are not even dealing with pushing and shoving inside the penalty box while taking corners. The referee is supposed to give a penalty for obstruction inside the box when taking corners. Instead he stops the corner from being taken and just warns them verbally to cut it out.

Not when you're pulling someone down to the ground or knocking down the goal keeper who's about to collect the ball. It's unfair advantage. The rules apply to the whole ground, the penalty area is no exception. The referee should stamp it out and they have, only occasionally.

Instead he stops the corner from being taken and just warns them verbally to cut it out. I'm not sure there's any way of stopping that. He can't give a penalty for obstruction and if the corner hasn't been taken yet he can't award a penalty anyway since the ball's not in play, the only thing he can do is book or send off a player if the offence is serious enough. If he did not stop the corner from being taken it's likely that the players would be fouling each other simultaneously when the corner was taken, in which case he would be required by the rules to immediately stop play and restart with a drop ball in the area, which would be total fucking chaos and an unfair advantage to the attacking team.

I always thought if there was more than one real referee covering the entire field of play that some of these issues would work out naturally.

I figure their choice of whether to dive-and-writhe is often based on where they know the ref is and whether his view is blocked or he's too far to see the details.

Send a mafia thug to actually give them the injury they're pretending to have-- then do the same to their family. The diving would end pretty quickly, I think.

I say give them red card and ban them for a 1 year from playing football. And if they do it again ban them for life. A one-year ban is completely disproportionate to the seriousness of the offense. You can punch an opponent and you won't get banned for one year. No, what is needed is not harsher penalty, it is just enforcement of the already existing rules, as Father Jack said above. Now that FIFA has allowed video review, there is absolutely no excuse to let things like what Pepe did in the Morocco game to go unpunished.

Oh i know its completely disproportionate to the seriousness of the offense. But it would make them stop and they would learn to stop doing it. Frankly the male players should take a lesson from the female players. You can say what you want about female players but at least they don`t dive and pretend to be injured all the time. And they don`t complain every time the referee makes a call against them.

i agree witrh the red card - for blatant dives (not when the player draws the foul and dives when making contact)
time wasting needs to be sorted out by having a better game clock system. make it impossible to time waste - at preset the refs have created the [roblem that the players take advantage of by not alloeing the correct extra time we should clock stop (yes transport systems anbd planners and tv hate this , however once players know they cannot get away with it - time wasting will jappen less (it may still happen to break the flow of an opponents play, but a ref cannot hand a punishment down to a player got pretending to be injured or hurt' - even a trained doc would have difficulty in that.

And if their diving resulted in the winning goal, the match is forfeited to the opponent. That would REALLY get some traction.

If the womens game had a tenth of the importance (importance = pressure) then lets see how they stand up to the men with gamesmanship/cheatiing tactics.
I d agree that Male footballers need to stop it(and we need harsh laws implemented- because they wont do sh!t without the ;punishment being worse than the crime') , and yes they shoud stop back chatting the refs - unless its a legimate atempt to persuade the ref to use VAR
