In Infinity War, Doctor Strange cliamed that there was only 1 winning scenario, but that has been proven false. Here are the other possible winning scenarios:
1. Starlord doesn't act like a selfish dick and stop them and they succeed in getting the guantlet off Thanos' hand.
2. Thor goes for Thanos' head with the axe and chops off Thanos' head.
3. Thor chops off Thanos' hand, which makes it impossible for Thanos to snap his fingers.
So clearly Doctor Strange lied about there being only 1 winning scenario. Did the writers mean to say there were 3 or 4 winning scenarios? Was the "only 1 winning scenario" line another MCU gaffe, just like the "8 Years Later" gaffe in SMH (which the Russos have already admitted was a gaffe)?

I found the ''only 1 possibility'' from millions a little too convenient for dramatic purposes. He should have said there were a few scenarios as DC-Fan points out, Thor could have stopped him. Also if Dr Strange just refuses to give Thanos the timestone period no matter what happens, then theres no way Thanos can complete the gauntlet to do his snap in the first place.

If I recall correctly, what Dr. Strange said is that out of the possible futures that he saw, the Avengers won in one. It doesn't necessarily means that there aren't other possible winning scenarios, only that there is one winning scenario out of the futures Dr. Strange saw.
Also Dr. Strange could've seen Star Lord acting like a selfish dick in all futures that he saw.

What's really stupid is that if Doctor Strange knew that the only possibility of defeating Thanos was if Tony Stark's life was spared, then why not give Thanos the Time Stone immediately instead of going through the battle with Thanos and letting Thanos stab Iron Man in the shoulder? What if Thanos had better aim and had stabbed Iron Man through the heart? Or what if Thanos had promised not to kill Iron Man in exchange for the Time Stone but then kills Iron Man anyway after he gets the Time Stone? Strange had no way of knowing what Thanos would do (i.e. whether or not Thanos would have better aim and stab Iron Man through the heart, whether or not Thanos would keep his promise and not kill Iron Man after he gets the Time Stone) so why not just give Thanos the Time Stone immediately instead of risking everything on unknowns? That was just really awful, contrived writing for plot convenience, just like the camera that happened to be in the right location at the right time to record Bucky murdering Howard and Maria Stark and the coroner being so incompetent to miss the palm prints around Maria Stark's neck and rule the deaths accidental even though Maria Stark's death was due to asphyxiation caused by strangulation.

Can you tell us why on Earth Wonder Woman disintegrated an unarmed man who posed no threat to her AFTER he'd expended all of his ammunition?Didn't he deserve a trial? Or is Amazonian justice higher than man's justice? It's a fucking shame what these comic book movies are coming to...

Murdering a citizen of a foreign nation where she had no jurisdiction and was not sanctioned by any authority to execute criminals? Whatever... Last person executed in Great Britain was in 1964. Your 'second clip' nonsense is as weak as fuck. LOL!!

And you don't have to be a citizen of a country in order to be allowed to defend innocent persons. You're always allowed to defend innocent persons regardless of your citizenship. Like I said, Wonder Woman did the right thing by neutralizing a threat and protecting innocent people, something which MCU "heroes" repeatedly fail to do.

If Starlord didn't punch him, something else would've woken up Thanos. Strange saw this.
Thanos somehow still survives long enough to snap his fingers, Strange saw this.
Strange knows more than you. Easy.

If there were more than one possible winning scenario then Doctor Strange wouldnt have said only one so obviously those weren't winning scenarios.

Please send us all a link to the written documentation where it says all that on a .uk government website. If it's true it should be in the British constitution somewhere. The problem with your fantasy is that she murdered the guy in cold blood when he was clearly no longer a threat and denied the British people their right to face that man in court so he could answer for his crimes under British Law. If Diana was a superhero with any real skill or a conscious she would have incapacitated the man and awaited the arrival of lawful authorities. Instead she chose to kill. Wow, do you think they were honoring her heritage as a straight up murdered in the comics too (i.e., Maxwell Lord)?

She couldn't neutralize the threat in a non-lethal way? Okay, so she's a weak superhero like all the DC heroes. A single man who was clearly stunned into submission at her bullet-deflecting prowess somehow posed a credible threat to her? He was literally in the process of lowering his weapon (in what is considered a universally understood gesture of surrender) when she turned on the juice. Not to mention she probably blew out the entire side of that building with her wonton display of brutal violence. You mean to tell me that Diana's super speed, which rivals Superman's, wouldn't have been enough for her to handle the threat with non-lethal force? Wow. Wonder Woman is a menace who performs unsanctioned, summary executions. Amazons are savage as fuck. WTF, bro!

Well, the Amazons are a bunch of psychos in the comics too. They capture men, force them to breed with them (okay, maybe not "force") and then kill them after. And then they kill any male kids they have.
Rinse and Repeat every generation.
