I'm watching it...though mainly for Jodie Comer as Villanelle, as I find her the most entertaining part of the show.
It's also interesting to see Kim Bodnia in a different role, as I only really knew him from playing Martin Rohde in Bron/Broen. He had an interesting relationship with Sofia Helin's Saga Norén in that show, and here he has another interesting relationship with Villanelle.

Yes, love it. Saving the last episode though.

Thought it was terrific. (Am puzzled by the rerun a month or two ago stating "expanded" in the DVR description. I watched it the first time and wonder if the rerun had added scenes?)

I thought they tried to inject too much humor into the season finale. It kind of took the edge off the Villanelle character.

Amazingly mediocre for all the hyperbolic praise it received. Villanelle was annoying as hell and Sandra Oh was not much better. Are we really at a point where praise is lavished on a show simply because the female lead likes eating pussy? It wasn't even a new approach to a female killer. Is it a rule that the only way a woman can exhibit being a "badass" in a tv show or movie is strutting around like a banty rooster and acting like a smug douchebag?
If you want to see a portrayal of a hitwoman that avoids the cringe worthy caricature we usually see check out Counterpart. Sara Serraiocco manages to be lethal AND eat the pussy that for some reason really impresses critics. All while avoiding the cartoonish LOOK AT ME I'M SO CLEVER antics that made Killing Eve a chore to finish.

Anyine here a huge fan or only me. it feels like the format wins over substance majorly here i do like Sandra Oh a lot and enjoy looking at all the actors there but it seems quite stupid content wise. All the Mi5/6 agents seem completely clueless, the killer is no way believable as someone who escapes the justice for so long with being so super careless, and they killed of the only really likable character there? fuck. gave up on episode 4. Is there any reason to keep watching if I already think its stupid? Other than the music which is pretty great and the visuals. Does it get better/smarter?

Villenelle and her boss are great and while I really wish Bill lasted longer, his death was a catalyst actually.

Barrys an entirely separate animal, the only thing both have in common is that both a darkly comedic assassin shows, however Villenelle seems more content with life versus Barry whose in the midst of an existential problem of sorts.

Just suffered through episode 4. Come on, that one was Really stupid. I feel like what drives the score up high is the queer aspect. Its not comedic enough to feel like the stupidity of the agents /everyones action is intended to be laughed at/not to take seriously, and its not dark enough to gloss over the other flaws. It does have good actors though. Except Pumpkin and her bF they were both pretty bad. But then again, it may have been their roles.

I am not going to lie I actually do have several issues with the show. Eve/Villenelle feels so derivative and not only that but I really don't buy the dynamic at all. What's so different about this relationship compared to say Will Graham and Hannibal Lector? at this point it really feels tropy to have the brilliant but flawed detective and his/her adversary who only get one another and live to keep the thrill alive. Heat, Hannibal, The Fall, Sherlock to an extent. Another issue I have is the age of the whole investigate staff as well. Would a team really be this feasibly young in real life? Also while I love Sandra Oh she somehow feels out of place among a bunch of more refined Brits. It is a shame Olivia Colman or perhaps Andrea Risenborough weren't available to play Eve. And thats not really including all the contrivances you pointed out with the whole writing aspect of the show. Also maybe its just me but why is Eve allowed to command any team? shes not built for that at all.

Wanted to like it. Did not. Same as me. Just finished it. Was like some comic strip series. Pretty awful script and ridiculous plot.

All of it. Olivia Colman would have been AWESOME and so much more believable to be the ADHD/scrappy/nerdy agent that I think they are trying to sell Sandra Oh as. But to me what kills it the most is the overall incompetence of all of the agents. Oh well. I will watch it through since I also like Oh very much, and I do enjoy the music in the show, but I just struggle to understand its high score. Also, how many gay/bi/omnisexuals are we supposed to believe are there in one random small team/group of people? I am kind of tired of psychopaths almost always being portrayed as queer. And now two of the agents who are after it too? Come on.

I think a better espionage show with much more nuance is The Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and the underappreciated Tom Hollander. Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki also play strong female characters on the show and it's done right. Not forcing them to be gay or less feminine to try to make them interesting.

Glad to see some love for The Night Manager.
