These 50s rock legends are disappearing. The only ones I can think of that are still alive are Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and um...Pat Boone. RIP

Total legend... the best of the very best...
I've had the music and lyrics to Johnny B Goode up on my front room door for years... people have asked me why, I simply say 'in case anyone wants to pick up an instrument and play the greatest song ever'
As John Lennon said 'if there was another name for rock and roll music, it would be Chuck Berry music'

"My ding-a-ling" was the first single I ever bought. I must admit, though, when I heard the news my first reaction was "I thought he was dead already". On a happier note, I saw Rick Wakeman yesterday in a motorway service station just coming out of WH Smith. I gave him a big smile, wanting to convey the love in my eyes that reflected all the times I spent in my youth playing air keyboard along to his fantastic music. But he just scowled at me. When I went into WH Smith, I saw that they had run out of the Daily Telegraph, so that probably explains why he wasn't in the best of moods.

He had a long life. 'Run, Rudolph, Run' is still my favorite Christmas Rock tune.
