The first 2 were the only good ones so it's a good thing that there won't be any more sequels. I just hope they never remake the first movie.

personally i think the 1st/3rd movies are the only ones that stand out from the pack. i realize i am basically in the minority when it comes to the 3rd movie though. but i guess in terms of wide opinion... they should have ended it after the second movie.
my preference of the series...
1.T1 - 8.5-9/10 (within my Top 29 movies) 2.T3 - 8/10 (within my Top 61 movies) 3.T5 - 6-6.5/10 (within my Top 243 movies) 4.T2 - 6/10 5.T4 - 5/10 (Thumbs Down)
the second movie used to be a 10/10 until July 3rd 2016 viewing as i simply don't enjoy it to any high degree anymore as i think some of it is Edward Furlong does not work for me like he once did and is a bit annoying now. T2 was mostly about Linda Hamilton if you ask me, which keeps it afloat.

Rights going to Cameron, Arnold may be involved, it might not be Paramount anymore, they lose rights soon. I just hope they move beyond the Connors

The first was the best. I don't think that there was even a need for T2. It's never a good idea, story-wise, to make sequels for time-travelling movies. It just results in too many plotholes cropping up.

And they just now realize this? It should have stopped after the sequel in 1991.
I figured a followup to Terminator Genisys (2015) was never going to happen, let alone trying to make a trilogy out of it within the span of four years before the rights revert to James Cameron in 2019.
I'm surprised they even bothered after the company involved with Terminator Salvation (2009) filed for bankruptcy. It was a pretty clear indication that nobody wanted to see a Terminator film without Arnold. This is why Genisys was made, even though it just broke-even in theaters.
I really wish they would just let the franchise R.I.P. I don't know how many more failed attempts it's going to take before they realize that Arnold is too old to be playing a Terminator.

I liked 1, 2 and 3.
Salvation and Genysis are the worst. But If I had to pick one of the two it would be Genysis

Well damn, I guess if they are going to keep churning out Terminator films, at least James Cameron will be at the helm. I like the fact that the article states it would be concluded. Then, maybe we could actually skip the third, fourth, and fifth films, and go right from the second to the sixth, even though I kinda like Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003).

But If I had to pick one of the two it would be GenysisI sorta agree, but my vote would go towards Salvation (2009) since it didn't even feel like a Terminator movie due to the lack of Arnold. The first two are solid classics, the third was fine by me since it followed the same format as the previous two, the fourth was a major disappointment with the sloppy CGI Arnold, and the fifth tried too hard to fit into the science fiction genre. I believe they were actually trying to make The Terminator as part of the DC Universe or something along the lines.

I've liked them all. Terminator and it's sequel were something special and the others weren't nearly as good.
But I found Terminator 3 to be entertaining and solid enough compared to most action movies. Salvation was a bit boring but was alright and I enjoyed Genisys.
