No one* is up there with Ackbar, for me. Dude won the Battle of Endor, and as far as I'm concerned, should've been President of the New Republic. ETA: *except Thrawn. I’m on-board with all of this, but who are Raddus and Thawn? (Yeah, I’m sure I could look this up when I get back.) GIVE SLAZMARK THE STAR WARS ENCYCLOPEDIA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!3

I was thinking something along the lines of: Obi-wan parents are taken hostage by the Empire in an attempt to force Obi-wan out of hiding, Obi-wan wrestles with the decision of if he should attempt to rescue them or leave them to their fate. When he re-united with his parents they are resentful of him becoming a Jedi, and he must convince them it was still the right thing to do.
Obi-wan would converse with Qui-gon during the film, who would be a disembodied voice and perhaps during the film is able to manifest as a spirit, however since his training was incomplete he cannot hold the form and fades away.
There probably should be a twist half way through when Obi reaches his parents, however I'm not sure what that'd be and how to do the film without Vader. Include an Inquisitor so Obi can have a saber fight.
