This series has many great actors that they don’t use. You have Oscar and Golden Globe nominees/winners Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, and Alan Cumming. This franchise barely uses them. Especially, after True Blood showed that Anna could a great Rogue.
What the fuck?

That's the biggest criticism of the Fox xmen movies, that they focus too much on Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine and Mistique and I agree with that criticism. After DOFP they should have taken that opportunity and focus on fringe members of the old cast like Anna Paquin and Halle Berry as Rogue and Storm in follow up films.

Unfortunately they put a lot of focus on popular characters like Wolverine.

I'd say the worst aspect is the writing.

Plus James Marsden as Cyclops who's reduced to the textbook cuck.

You make an incredibly valid point. As great as seeing Jackman as Wolvie was, we need(ed) more spotlight for the other characters, especially since you said that some of them are played by solid actors.

Neglected actors AND neglected characters. I mean, when you choose to focus on Mystique over characters like Rogue or Jean Grey or Cyclops, there's something wrong there right? One of the characters that made the most impact in Apocalypse was Psylocke, and yet it doesn't seem like they're including her in the next film. I'm telling you, there's something wrong with how those Fox executives think. The X-men franchise has some of the richest galleries of both heroes and villains and Fox is just wasting them.

That's why I always refer to theses films as Wolverine-Magneto: Stryker movies.
You know Gambit has only ever been in one movie that was a crappy spinoff typically ignored by fans? And I'd bet he was thrown in there begrudgingly too.

The x-films give priority to star-power only.

When will they ever learn.

You're right of course, But they had the advantage of introducing them more gradually over more movies. Most of the X-Men were introduced in the first 2 movies, and then there were even more thrown on top. Plus, Whedon and the Russo Bros are just smart.

He had plenty of "fight scenes". Civil War, Winter Soldier, Infinity War... Do you mean a scene where he is fighting by himself against others? Why would they have that? Also, in big event comics like the one IW was based on, most of the characters are background and there to fill out a huge roster. 80% of the characters are just there.
