1. Philly - Alpha move and the smartest move (not being a homer) 2. Cleveland - Heartwarming move wanting to please his family/city/region - be a great story if he stays 3. L.A. (unless it's the Clips) - Punk move - playing in Magics, Kareems, Kobes, Shaqs, etc.' s Shadows - going to Hollywood - reeks worse than joining Wade and Bosh years ago. Want to be regarded better than Jordan - go for the Alpha move.

One of my favorite 'George' clips of All-Time pondering where he's going to go in life after Jerry asks him what he's going to do after losing a job: "I like sports....I can do something in sports......"

LeBron James is NOT going to the Lakers!
I'm a Lakers Fan and even I know that he isn't coming. I would be stunned if he did!

Lakers are shit. The Sixers are poised to make the leap. Philly is the bigger bitch move between the two by your logic.

Lakers are the only one in play. Embiid doesn't want to be Bosh/Love. Gilbert and Lebron are back to hating each other and Gilbert won't add pieces to the team.

Wherever he goes, I hope to hell he decides soon. I'm sick of it already.

All I know is that if he goes to the Lakers, I sure won't be rooting for him any longer. I'm not a Lakers fan.

If he goes 'Hollywood' and plays in the shadows of Wilt, Kareem, Magic, etc etc. It's a bigger 'punk' move than what he did with the Heat years ago. I just can't see him doing it. It's the 'weak' move. Alpha move is going to to a gritty tough blue collared town with a young team and putting them on his shoulders and taking them to the promise land - titles with 3 different franchises - solidifying his spot as the greatest of All-Time.

Well, the Heat are my #1 team, so I was happy about that one. ;-)

3. L.A. (unless it's the Clips) - Punk move - playing in Magics, Kareems, Kobes, Shaqs, etc.' s Shadows - going to Hollywood - reeks worse than joining Wade and Bosh years ago. Why is it a punk move? It's not like he'd be playing with Magic, Kareem, Kobe and Shaq. He'd be playing with a bunch of bums. He'd likely be taking a shitty team back to contention, where they historically belong. If anything, joining an up and coming roster like Philly with Embiid and the ROY Simmons in the weak East where it'd be really hard to fail would be the "weak" move.

It's the equivalent of an elite player joining the Yankees, Pats, Cowboys.... To each their own - I get how some people in life would want to work for that Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company - the more 'Alpha' move may be to take that job and take your talents to the new up and coming start up pharma. It's 'selling out' to 'the man'. It's joining the Dark Side and swerving heel.....

I've never classified anything as a "punk" move, by the way.
On the one hand I don't have any problem with any player going to any team they go to, aside from not liking to lose a favorite player from one of my teams.
On the other hand, I wish that we had a very different set of conventions in place so that:
(1) a significant percentage of any team (50%, say) is comprised of people from the area in question (either a native or a long-term resident; basically where the areas are defined by the geographical boundaries of teams--take any direction to the next team, the halfway point is the boundary; the exception would be two teams in the same metro area, which would count as one for this purpose)
(2) players wouldn't be able to change teams so easily (I'd have time requirements), and there would be a cap (I'd make it three) on the number of teams in the same pro organization that a player can play for.
With the way things are now, I also hate players "chasing money"--going someplace because that place is offering them 52 million instead of 50 million, say.
Not everyone makes every decision solely on maximizing the money they're going to make. I could have made far more money in my life than I did. Plenty of things are more important to me than getting the maximum amount of money I can get.

I'll put it this way.
This discussion has been posted on here numerous times. Greatest NBA player of All-Time.
If he has the 'guts' to go to Philly and guide Simmons/Embiid & Co. to a title(s) - to me that screams this guy is a 'killer'.
Goes to L.A. - ala Hollywood, the beach, the movie stars - to me - it screams you got soft.
Does he have the right/deserve to go wherever he wants? Of course. He's earned it. Legend.
But - is he that 'killer' - that would come to a tough blue collared town with brutal winters securing his legacy - or is he that 'movie star' sipping Mojitos on the beach?
I'd prefer to look at him as an aging tough, rigid East Coast'Rocky' who wants to stay on top rather than an aging dancing West Coast 'Movie Star' fool like Apollo Creed.

If LeBron hasn’t already proven to you that he’s a killer then it doesn’t matter what he does.

Nothing wrong with getting old and wanting to 'relax' - i.e. go Hollywood - but is he still that 'killer'? This is a great clip from Rocky III how Mick was protecting 'Rock' - Mick explains to Rock that the worst thing happened to him (a boxer) - he became civilized. LeBron - Killer? Yes. Legend. Goes to L.A. - it's Rocky in Rolex watches and Armani Suits. Mr. Softee.
