Why is it a punk move? It's not like he'd be playing with Magic, Kareem, Kobe and Shaq. He'd be playing with a bunch of bums. He'd likely be taking a shitty team back to contention, where they historically belong. If anything, joining an up and coming roster like Philly with Embiid and the ROY Simmons in the weak East where it'd be really hard to fail would be the "weak" move. It's the equivalent of an elite player joining the Yankees, Pats, Cowboys.... To each their own - I get how some people in life would want to work for that Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company - the more 'Alpha' move may be to take that job and take your talents to the new up and coming start up pharma. It's 'selling out' to 'the man'. It's joining the Dark Side and swerving heel..... Well, Hulk Hogan became Hollywood Hogan, so now LeBron will probably go to Hollywood too. |
