Wow. I can't judge him only on that though..
Anyway he is only 39. He seems to be a great young coach, clearly. He will toughen up you would assume. I like the fact he is a emotional. That is something us brits can feel an efinity towards. That's not a sir fergie trait. Or in fact many managers traits. But you are touching on a fact that he may be too nice for management? But tactically and one on one a bit of a 'one to watch'
Personally I prefer pressing tactics. I think if done correctly it's above and beyond pep style. I think pep is too complicated for lesser teams even ones that are still one of the best in the world , and that has been shown at Man City. Man City has the best squad on England. But they are far from playing the best footie, and cannot win like Bayern or Barca.
Although Barcelona seem (at there best) could do both, pressing and the movement in triangles, with back up extending where is needed the most rather than more zonal . But that's a team (was) choke full of the best. You can only do so much with what you have, which you have so touched on.. - placing the system above the players -
