No, goz, I don't think that, but ultimately it's an individual choice to decide what to do about it. IMO there are too many dopers running around who are convinced that dope is the answer to everything. What is 'dope'? ...and why don't you trust professionals over YouTube...who could be anyone? Goz, 'dope' is American slang for illegal drugs and 'dopers' are people that use those street drugs. People who use medication from the pharmacy are called 'good patients'. And people that watch too many YouTube videos are called 'bat-shit crazy'.

Rachel, this really has nothing to do with YouTube videos, and if YouTube videos had never been invented my attitude would be the same. Whether it's illegal street drugs or legal pharmaceutical drugs, it's still drugs, aka dope, and the prevailing mindset here is that there's a chemical solution for every problem. It's probably no different where goz is, or in any of the other "modern" countries.

There are some posters here that think that 'dope', a.k.a. any chemical pharmaceuticals, are bad.
I am alive because of chemical pharmaceuticals. In 1989, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 adenocarcinoma; I was only 35, and had lost many older relatives to the disease.
I survived because chemotherapy had been developed. I am now 64. Tell me exactly how bad 'dope' is.
Dope - Adriamycin, 5FU (Fluoracil) and Cytoxin -
is the answer to cancer.

It's very easy to fall into thinking, "Well, what's the point, if everything is just temporary?" But life is meant to be temporary. In my philosophy, earth is like a classroom. We experience life lessons, and we face challenges to see how much we've learned. The purpose of life is to help us grow as individuals. You can grow the soul by going through pain and hardships, and coming out triumphant. You can grow your heart, by loving and caring for others. You can grow your mind by exploring your curiosity, and delving into things like science, or history or philosophy. You can grow your talents by learning to play a musical instrument, or paint or write. There are so many ways we can grow and evolve as human beings, and make the world a better place. And as long as we keep growing, we have a purpose for being here, and we will probably find some measure of happiness and contentment, no matter what our circumstances are. And the best part is, whatever wisdom and compassion we gain, we can take that with us when this life is over.
I'm at the point where I see life as a game. I want to see how far I can go, how much I can learn, and how many experiences I can cram into one short life. I know I'll die someday, but I know I'll have tons of stories to tell when I do, and I'll be proud of the person I've become. You can call it self actualization, or enlightenment, or exploring your own divinity, but it basically boils down to living life the best way you can, in the pursuit of wisdom.
I think modern society is breaking the human soul. People think they're supposed to be happy with things, with money and houses and cars, but they're more miserable than ever. What the soul craves is growth, which is why Nature is so healing. Nature is growing. We need to grow, too.

What is 'dope'? ...and why don't you trust professionals over YouTube...who could be anyone? Why do you trust professionals......who could be anyone? Do you understand the term 'professional' and it connotations and inferences? Think along the lines of qualifications, experiences, peer reviewed papers, adding to the established body of knowledge and perhaps making breakthroughs which are then investigated by other 'professionals' in an academic or scientific way which has developed to accommodate human knowledge technology and discovery. You use the product of this very thing to access your stupid YouTube conspiracy crapola!

Nature IS growing, according to a news article I clicked on, about all the ways Australia could KILL you! Giant snakes that eat entire crocodiles, some strange big bird that can eviscerate you with a single kick, red-bellied spiders, jellyfish that you can barely see but they can sting you to death... Yikes! How do you Aussies survive?

What the soul craves is growth, which is why Nature is so healing. Nature is growing. We need to grow, too. That type of philosophy is fine if it helps you enjoy your life to its maximum potential. But life isn't 'meant' to be anything, and it has no 'purpose'. It's just the accidental result of unintelligent processes. Sometimes we can confect our own artifices in order to turn it into something subjectively purposeful. I somewhat agree with you on the last paragraph (minus the mysticism part). The emotional needs of humans revolve around social belongingness. Whereas we used to be part of communal tribes that shared every aspect of their lives, capitalist society has effectively atomised us and set us in competition to each other.

I have strange thoughts. I will wake up in a panic around 2am some mornings and cry for a moment because of the realization I will die one day. It's inevitable.
Then these dark thoughts come over me, where I think, "What if it is just nothing. No Heaven or Hell."
Why are you panicking about nothing?

Why are you panicking about nothing? Nothing doesn't cause something, unless you can present an example of an effect without a cause. The panic is an effect. Just because you can't comprehend the cause doesn't make it nonexistent.

Do you fret about nothing?

A example of an effect without a cause, please. God. (Assuming for a moment that such an entity exists).
