One of the few movies I seen in the theaters.
but honestly... while that movie used to be one of the better movies I have seen at one point in the past I no longer care for it as of a viewing on June 15th 2014. prior to that viewing the previous re-watch was sometime before Dec 27th 2011.

"It's a Michael Bay movie so yes even the title has to explode."

This is what Summer Blockbuster is all about.
The reason I don't care for prolonged franchises such as MCU and Star Wars is because it's a continuous never-ending cycle of the same formula rehashed.
Summer blockbuster used to be creative, pure popcorn flick action and fun. Creative ideas.
Independence Day, Armageddon, Speed, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Jaws, Jurassic Park, etc... you never knew what creative and fun new blockbusters awaited. Some were hits (e.g. Men in Black) and others not so much (e.g. Wild, Wild, West).
Nowadays it's the 20th Comic Book Movie of the summer... who cares?

And of this awesome song! How about the similar song Steven Tyler did for the lesser known Japanese movie Space Battleship Yamato(2010)?

One year you might have 'Hook', another year, 'Jurassic Park' and another, 'Forrest Gump' or whatever. At least there was variety.
I enjoy a superhero film every now and then, but damn.
